The New Sound Emerging

This page of the web site will aim to convey the way the Holy Spirit is moving. Moving being the key word, we will not be able to outline fully what is happening and we are not trying to convey anything like a  formula or theology but inform people here and abroad what is occuring on the ground. A Wildfire by it's very nature is shifting and therefore this page will be an unfinished work and will change regularly.

Hunger
One thing that is come amongst everyone is a hunger for more of God, knowing that there is always more to Him.

Family
Looking at Irish society down through the years one thing stands out as characteristic and that is the importance and role of family. God is wanting to use this facet of our culture as He did throughout the bible to become the nucleus of a cell of His body; a place where the fire burns. Into and out of which people can flow just like parts of our bodies. It is the place that people feel at home, a place of love and not judgement which is where many a weary soul longs to be; especially ones that are not familiar with the family of God but would like to engage with it somehow. Relaxed fellowship. "Where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I in the midst of them. Matt 18 v 20" This verse was not meant to comfort when meeting attendance was low but as an expression of how He likes to work.

Open House
Open House is activating 'ecclesia' or 'spiritual households' which are the hub of things; as the format outlined in the New Testament. The place is not always in a home but can be in a cafe etc. This is the place that body ministry can be activated and a balance brought between the gathering(teacher/pastoral) and scattering (evangelistic/apostolic) gifts. It is aimed to be flexible in its content. It will will have worship, prayer, communion, dialogue, discussion, reasoning, question and answers in an informal conversational manner. There is also the freedom for the person attending not to be regular but 'like the wind'; this is particularly important for the evangelists. There is also the freedom for the person hosting to not host hence the need to check if it is on before setting out.

When we look at the Celtic monks and people they had prays for everything; lighting the fire etc. However if we were to copy this we would only end up in religious repetition but by following the guidelines below you can reach new spiritual heights and see the Glory of Heaven surround you.

Movement
Pilgrimmage and movement were always part of the Celtic revival and therefore we have from the start always had to hold lightly anyone who meets with us because they may only be joining us on the journey for a short time. Just like wild geese when they fly in formation; should a couple of them break off from a group to land when they rejoin the journey it is not always with the same group. Being of the 'born of the wind of the Spirit' means people will inherently have similar characteristics. A wildfire spreads and does not resemble the pastoral model of church that we have seen for decades.
Follow the Glory Cloud and do not set up camp as soon as you think you have arrived as God is on the move in the Nations and we must move with Him.
